Physical description of school premises , general facilities and location :
The Rosary Sisters’ School-Aqaba is a sprawling, purpose built structure, in four separate parts .
Each houses an individual educational system :
1. The Pre-school section with the Nursery, K.G.
2. The Primary School Section from Class 1 – Class 5 .
3. The Elementary Section from Class 6 – 8 .
4. The Secondary Section from Class 9 – 12 .
Each section has its own classrooms , staff rooms , Administration Section , Assembly grounds and play area .
The School buildings are built around central atria which allows for easy air circulation , lighting and supervision from a central administration section .
The school is located in the Service Road ( Sha’are Al Khadamat ) away from the residential areas of Aqaba .
It is easy accessible from four separate roads and has two wide roads specially built to ensure safe entry to the school without traffic jams .
The Secondary school houses separate Physics , Chemistry , Biology and Home Science Laboratories along with the main Library , 3 Computers Laps ….
The Primary School has its own general Science Laboratories . There are Three separate ICT labs with more than 20 computers in each lab. The entire system is connected to the Net , There is also wireless net connection in the school and the students are encouraged to spend time in independent supervised research . All the classes in the school are spacious , light and airy with big windows and ventilators. There are tube lights offering bright light in the class . each class has fans and is air – conditioned . there is a unique air-cooling system built into the walls of the school to keep the building cool in the summer .
The Secondary School also houses 2 school auditoriums . One is the 100 seating video viewing room built in rising tiers of seats with a projection room and facility for data show and film viewing . The other seats 400 and is an air-conditioned theater with fixed seats for school plays , seminar lectures, musical programmes , demonstrations etc. the primary school has the main school multi-purpose auditorium with a stage and projection room , surround sound , visual effects and a capacity of 1000 . it is used for school celebrations, exhibitions , parents’ day etc. it is also often offered to the general public and Ed Ministry as a gesture of participation for their activities . there is a special air conditioned indoor stadium with Olympic standard facilities and electronic score boards for sports lessons in the summer . This has facilities for hand ball , basket ball , volley ball , aerobics , squash , badminton , table tennis etc.
Community services :
1- Blind section to integrate students with learning difficulties with ordinary students . This section was built with HRH prince Ra’ad Bin Shaker request and the help of AIDia foundation and Office of the Aqaba Special Economic Zone .
2- Department of learning difficulties for students of the school under the supervision of a teacher specialized in this field .
